Japan urged to opt for peace
KCNA
Pyongyang, April 23 (KCNA) -- Japan is busy creating the impression that its security is exposed to a threat from someone and calling for establishing a security posture to cope with it.
Rodong Sinmun today in a signed article says that the Japanese reactionaries' oft-touted "military threat" from the DPRK is a pretext for their arms buildup and a prelude to reinvasion.
It continues:
The chief of the Asia and Oceania bureau of the Foreign Ministry of Japan at a budgetary committee of the house of councillors cried out for examining the issue of applying economic sanctions against North Korea in case it launches a ballistic missile and deputy chief cabinet secretary Abe blustered that missile launching sites in North Korea should be struck to keep it from launching missiles.
The Japanese reactionaries have gone to the lengths of asserting that Japan should take revenge upon North Korea and it is not in violation of Japan's constitution to mount preemptive attacks on missile launching sites in North Korea.
Japan is frantically stepping up arms buildup under the pretext of a "military threat" from the DPRK.
The Japanese reactionaries singled out the Korean Peninsula as the first target of their overseas invasion. They are hyping the "threat" from the DPRK in every way in a bid to encourage the U.S. in its moves to escalate the situation on the Korean Peninsula and start a war against the DPRK.
The army and people of the DPRK who have a bitter grudge against Japan will mercilessly wipe out the Japanese militarist forces if they dare launch a military attack against the DPRK.
Japan's intensified hostile policy toward the DPRK will only result in harassing its security and bringing disasters to it.
The Japanese reactionaries are well advised to stop inviting misfortune and make a proper option for peace.
