Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- Moris Strong, special envoy of the UN Secretary General, on March 18 underlined the need for the DPRK and the U.S. to hold direct talks, noting that there is no possibility of peacefully settling the "nuclear issue" of Korea without dialogue, according to a news report.
As regards the "nuclear issue" of Korea, a peaceful solution to it can be found when dialogue started, he noted.
The escalating Iraq crisis strongly underscores the necessity for the DPRK and the U.S. to pursue a peace dialogue, he added.
