Pyongyang, March 6 (KCNA) -- A joint seminar of political parties and organizations on the present situation of the Korean Peninsula and the army-based policy of the Workers' Party of Korea was held in Rome on February 19, attended by representatives of 16 political parties and organizations and figures of different social standings.
The general secretary of the Italian Movement for Peace and Socialism in his speech said that the DPRK-U.S. relationship is now at a crisis because the U.S. has systematically violated the DPRK-U.S. Agreed Framework.
He said that the DPRK has proudly built socialism, holding President Kim Il Sung, founder of the immortal Juche idea, in high esteem and is now shining all over the world as it is guided by Kim Jong Il, who has army-based political philosophy.
The general secretary of the Unified Communist Party of Italy in his speech said that Kim Jong Il has radically improved relations with Russia, China, Europe and Japan still further.
The DPRK is pursuing the army-based policy, an original political mode, he stressed, adding that the anti-U.S. struggle of the Korean people is a model of the progressive forces of the world.
A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the seminar.
