Struggle for peace called for in S. Korea

KCNA

Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration in a special resolution issued on Feb. 22 reportedly called on the 70 million Koreans to turn out in a struggle for peace against war, adding that it will exert efforts to achieve the great national unity. Saying that anti-U.S. action is the only way for the Korean nation to survive, the resolution appealed to all the Koreans to come out in the struggle to protect their right to existence, security and peace of the nation.
Reiterating that the conclusion of a non-aggression treaty between the north and the U.S. is the only way of seeking the peaceful settlement of the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula, it declared that the organization would launch a campaign for the conclusion of the treaty.
We will stage a more vigorous struggle to force the U.S. troops, the root cause of war on the Korean Peninsula, out of South Korea to the last man and build a lasting peace mechanism, the resolution added.
