Seminar for peace mechanism on Korean Peninsula held
KCNA
Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- A seminar on a peace mechanism on the Korean Peninsula was held in Seoul on Feb. 19 under the sponsorship of the Citizens' Solidarity for Peace and Reunification, the Peace Committee of Reunification Solidarity, etc. in South Korea.
Speakers at the seminar held that for a peace mechanism on the Korean Peninsula it is necessary to settle political, military and economic issues simultaneously. To this end, the civic and social organizations will steadily escalate the candle-light demonstrations and strongly demand the united states not only hold dialogue with the DPRK but conclude a non-aggression treaty with it, the speakers noted.
It is urgent to express positive will to achieve security in the land free from the presence of the U.S. troops, they added.
The participants decided to open such seminar once in every month to discuss opinions.
