European trade unions support Korean people's cause
Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- A meeting of trade unions in the European region held in Athens on Jan. 23 and 24 adopted an appeal in support of the Korean people's just cause. Referring to the fact that U.S. stopped the supply of heavy oil to the DPRK and is working hard to internationalize its "nuclear issue" in a bid to stifle it, the appeal dismissed this as the revelation of a sinister intention to invent a pretext for invading the DPRK and at the same time continue its imperialistic interference in the affairs of Korea.Denouncing the U.S. moves to invade the DPRK, it called upon all the trade unions in the European region to stand against a war and a "new order."
The 23 trade unions in the region will stand on the side of the workers and other people of the DPRK and voice solidarity with them in the future, too, the appeal stressed.
