U.S. premeditated military moves for aggression lambasted
Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- The U.S. Department of Defense is thinking about sending an aircraft carrier to the waters off the Korean Peninsula in the wake of the deployment of carrier Kitty Hawk. The U.S. Secretary of Defense ordered 24 B-52 and B-1 bombers to get ready to move to Guam island to "support" the U.S. troops stationed in South Korea in order to cope with "emergency on the Korean Peninsula." The U.S. command in South Korea ordered thousands of U.S. officers and men to extend their stay in South Korea even after the expiry of their service term. This is an "urgent measure" taken allegedly to cope with a "contingency."
In this regard Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary says:
These moves are a blatant challenge to all Koreans in the north and the south who seek a peaceful solution to the nuclear issue as they indicate that the U.S. intention to stifle the DPRK by force has become clearer.
The United States is the author of the nuclear issue. It is claimed that it would not start a war against North Korea in a bid to soothe the public opinion at home and abroad concerned about the crisis, while contemplating about an adventure to invade the DPRK.
This goes to prove that the United States has no intention to peacefully settle the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula and its nuclear row is aimed to get a pretext to stifle the DPRK.
The U.S. is resorting to military means to implement its hostile policy to destroy the system in the DPRK. This situation compels the DPRK to take due precaution and a counter-measure.
The United States is well advised to stop at once such dangerous military campaign, bearing in mind that its war against the DPRK will be hopeless.
