GNP of S. Korea warned not to go reckless
Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- The editorial board of the Seoul-based radio Voice of National Salvation in a written warning sent to the Grand National Party (GNP) on Jan. 27 strongly warned it not to run amuck for pro-U.S. treachery and confrontation with the north, going against the trend of the times and the people's will but disband itself, though belatedly, and stand on the side of the nation and the people. When the north took the resolute self-defensive measure of quitting the NPT in order to counter the U.S. reckless nuclear provocation, the GNP group made such reckless remarks going against the people's will and siding with outside forces, describing the measure as "a gamble threatening the existence of the nation" and crying out for "strongly countering it with effective South Korea-U.S. cooperation."Accusing the GNP group of working hard to bring a nuclear holocaust to the nation in pursuance of the policy of foreign forces in a bid to prolong its remaining days, oblivious of the lesson of history, the editorial board dismissed the moves as unpardonable.
Now that the South Korean people aspire after a new independent policy, disillusioned with the policy of toeing the line of outside forces, there is no future for the GNP, a center of old political forces, it added.
