Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) - General Secretary Kim Jong Il is a great statesman who is leading the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence to victory, meeting the need of the present times, says Rodong Sinmun today in a signed article. It goes on:He clearly taught that the master key to defending socialism lies in the strong capability of the army and established the unique political mode of giving top priority to the army during the past "arduous march" and the forced march.
He is steering the army-based era. His great leadership finds a vivid expression in decisively smashing the imperialists' strategy to dominate the world, advancing the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence to victory with his iron-willed courage and outstanding strategy and performing heroic feats and working epoch-making miracles with his experienced and tested leadership art.
He is widely known as a general-type statesman steering the 21st century. This would be unthinkable without the rare qualities he attained while growing up and his inborn disposition.
