Production on upswing in Korea

    Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- Korean people, angered by the U.S. hostile policy towards the country, are bringing about a great upsurge in production and construction. Servicemen are further intensifying military and political trainings and increasing the combat power of their units to cope with the U.S. moves to bring the situation of the Korean Peninsula to the brink of a nuclear war.
    Coal mines under the Pyongyang Coal Industrial Bureau are topping their daily quotas at 120-130 percent. The Ranam Coal Mining Machine Complex, the Musan Mining Complex, the Pakchon Silk Mill and other industrial establishments throughout the country are answering the U.S. moves to isolate and stifle the country with a great upswing in production.
    Farmers in Sukchon county of South Phyongan Province, Taehongdan county of Ryanggang Province, Kangso district of Nampho and other areas are successfully going ahead with farming preparations.
    Young men and women of many factories, universities, middle schools are willing to join in the army to defend the sovereignty of the country and the dignity of the nation.
