U.S. urged to halt its moves against DPRK
Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Communist Workers' Party of Russia-Communist Party of Russia released a statement on Jan. 13 supporting the DPRK Government statement.
The U.S. who is behaving itself as an "international gendarme", regards the DPRK's socio-political system as one of its hates, and is making desperate efforts to break down the will of the Korean people to defend and consolidate their socialist gains, the statement said, and continued:
The U.S. ignored the DPRK's proposal for concluding a non-aggression treaty.
Under such situation, it was the urgent need for the DPRK to take measures to defend the country from the U.S. threat.
We support the DPRK Government's measures taken to strengthen the defence capability of the country.
Meanwhile, the Socialist Party of Romania and the "Geniul Carpatilor" Association for International Friendship and Solidarity, Reconciliation and Cooperation in a Joint Appeal on Jan. 13 extended full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just struggle to defend the sovereignty of the country and national dignity and realize the peaceful reunification of Korea, recalling that the Bush administration listed the DPRK as part of an "axis of evil" and has escalated step by step its moves of threatening the DPRK.
