The Central Broadcasting Station said on Dec.13, "for the DPRK, 'trust and faithfulness' is nothing but a single-minded belief in absolute leadership of comrade Kim Jong Il who always brings us victory." Faithfulness to Kim Jong Il is a driving force behind the DPRK's growth as an invincible strong nation. |
International Issues
A foreign ministry spokesperson insisted in a KCNA briefing on Dec. 9, "In exchange for the DPRK's freeze of nuclear activities, the U.S. must take appropriate measures such as delisting the DPRK as a "terrorism sponsor", easing political, economic and military sanctions, and energy support by the U.S. and neighboring countries." |

The Central Broadcasting Station reported on Dec.12, "Nana Sutresna, a political councilor and special envoy to the Indonesian president, delivered a personal letter from Indonesian President Megawati Soekarnoputri to leader Kim Jong Il, following a meeting with Kim Yong Nam, president of the DPRK's Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly at Mansudae Assembly Hall on Dec. 11. |
Inter-Korean Issues
Pyongyang Broadcasting Station blasted Hwang Jang Yop for his recent remarks in which he called for 'overthrowing the North Korean regime" (Dec.5 Japanese Sankei Shimbun), "we cannot help but take issue with the South Korean authorities for using Hwang, a mentally deranged old man, to have the upper hand in relation to the DPRK. Therefore, we will never sit idle in case the South Korean authorities once again allow Hwang to slander the North Korean political system." |

Pyongyang Broadcasting Station propagandized on Dec.12, "in order to prevent additional troop dispatch to Iraq which would undermines national dignity and interests and also to put an end to U.S. intervention in South Korea, South Korean people are urged to wage more combatant struggle against the U.S." |
