Inside North Korea
The Central Broadcasting Station stated, "the revolution leadership headed by comrade Kim Jong Il is the destiny of our military and our people as well as the foundation upon which we can be united." It went on to stress, "Our military and our people have realized the truth that the success of socialism lies in defending the revolution leadership at all costs." |

The Pyongyang Broadcasting Station insisted, "It is our unity, which is more powerful than any nuclear weapon, that brings victory to our socialism. Nothing can defeat us so long as we stay united with comrade Kim Jong Il as our center." |
International Issues
Rodong Sinmun emphasized in its editorial dated Dec. 1, "The denuclearization of the Korean peninsula must be realized not by action to words but by action to action according to the proposal for a package solution based on the principle of simultaneous action. This is the essential principle and method of the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and the stand and attitude the DPRK and the U.S. should take at the six-way talks." The Central Broadcasting Station said, "Korean people have a legitimate right to receive an apology and compensation from Japan for the humanitarian crime Japan has committed. Therefore, we will take serious issue with it, and bring Japan to justice in the international tribunal as soon as possible." |
Inter-Korean Issues
The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland made remarks in its information bulletin No. 853 regarding South Koreans shot and killed in Iraq recently, saying, "This was a judgment on the United States by the Iraqis and a stern warning to its followers." It also propagandized, urging South Korean people to wage an all-out campaign against the U.S. and the war on Iraq. (Dec. 4, Central Broadcasting Station) |

Rodong Sinmun made remarked regarding the 55th anniversary of establishing the National Security Law of South Korea on Dec. 1, "There is no justification to keep the National Security Law any longer now that the north and the south are working at achieving mutual reconciliation and cooperation for independent reunification in the spirit of 'by our nation itself'. Therefore, the whole nation should engage in a vigorous nation-wide struggle to have the Security Law repealed at an early date and ensure that no evil fascist laws exist in this land any longer."
