DPRK Delegate Calls for Development of South-South Cooperation
KCNA
Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- A DPRK delegate in a speech at a high-level meeting on south-south cooperation on Dec. 17 reaffirmed that the DPRK would steadily develop south-south cooperation in the future, too.
Expressing a series of his views on south-south cooperation, he said:
Firstly, the developing countries should consistently pursue south-south cooperation for economic growth and sustainable development, secondly, positively effect this cooperation on the principle of collective self-reliance, thirdly, exert main efforts for implementing the action program and plans for south-south cooperation and fourthly, strengthen unity and solidarity among them.
President Kim Il Sung in his lifetime authored many works which would serve as precious guidelines in realizing south-south cooperation and the fine example set by him in this cooperation powerfully encouraged the developing countries in their efforts to build a new society and greatly contributed to the development of south-south cooperation, he noted.
