Inside North Korea

The Central Broadcasting Station stressed, "Even though our enemies wage a  mean psychological war to topple the DPRK's spirit to defend our dear leader Kim Jong-Il at all costs, our will remains too firm and steadfast to be shaken by  their attacks."

A director of "the Committee for Kim Il Sung Flower & Kim Jong Il Flower Festival" Lee Byong Pa said, "the 8th exhibition of Kim Jong Il Flower scheduled to be held in February next year will consist of the Central Exhibition participated by central organizations and Provincial Exhibitions. To that end, 'the Organizing Committee for the Central Festival' and 'the Organizing Committee for Provincial Exhibitions' have been created."(Central Broadcasting Station, Nov.28)

International Issues

The Central Broadcasting Station said, "the U.S. should keep in mind that the nuclear issue between the DPRK and the U.S. will never be resolved if the U.S. continues to seek its ambition to suppress the N.K. over the nuclear issue." It also urged Washington to express its clear will to renounce its hostile policy against Pyongyang and to coexist with the DPRK peacefully.

Rodong Sinmun reiterated its position on Nov. 29 regarding KEDO's decision to suspend its construction of light-water reactors for one year, saying "we will not allow them to remove any equipment, facilities, materials or technical documents from the Kumho area until compensation is made."

The Central Broadcasting Station reported, "Foreign Minister Kim Young-Il met with China's State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan, Foreign Minister Vice Li Zhaoxing, Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo and¡¤ Wang Yi, from Nov. 20-24 on his way to Malaysia and discussed issues of mutual concerns."

Rodong Sinmun reiterated its position on Nov. 26 regarding the DPRK-Japan talks, "the Japanese authorities must be quick to respond to the DPRK's proposal to hold governmental talks between the two countries to discuss compensation for human rights victims."

Inter-Korean Issues

Pyongyang Broadcasting Station propagandized, "South Korean young students and people's demonstration against the additional troop dispatch to Iraq is a righteous struggle aimed to fight against the U.S. maneuver to invade Korea as well as to ensure peace and stability on the Korean peninsula."

The Central Broadcasting Station said, "Recently, it has been revealed that the Grand National Party of South Korea took 10 billion won from SK group in the latest presidential election, sending a shockwave throughout the nation." It also went on to argue that South Korean people must strongly demand that the GNP be disbanded."
