Kim Jong Il Receives Chinese State Delegation

Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, today received the Chinese state delegation led by Wu Bangguo, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, on an official goodwill visit to the DPRK.
Present there were Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Vice-Premier of the State Council Zeng Peiyan, Vice-Chairman and Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Sheng Huaren, Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress Lu Congmin, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi, Vice-Minister of Commerce Yu Guangzhou, Deputy Head of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee Liu Hongcai, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Ge Zhenfeng and Chinese Ambassador e.p. to the DPRK Wu Donghe.
On hand was Kang Sok Ju, first vice-minister of Foreign Affairs.
On the occasion Wu Bangguo conveyed the warm regards of Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Central Committee of the CPC and president of the PRC, and Jiang Zemin, chairman of the Central Military Commission, to Kim Jong Il and presented him with his own gift.
Kim Jong Il thanked for this and extended his regards to Hu Jintao and Jiang Zemin. Then he conversed with Wu Bangguo in an amicable atmosphere.
Kim Jong Il hosted a dinner in honor of the guests.
Present there on invitation were the members of the delegation.
Present there were Kim Yong Chun, member of the DPRK National Defence Commission and chief of the General Staff of the KPA, Kang Sok Ju, first vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Kim Yong Il, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and Choe Jin Su, DPRK ambassador e.p. to the PRC.
The dinner proceeded in an amicable atmosphere.
