KCNA Report on Japanese's Attempted Drug Smuggling
KCNA
Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- The KCNA today released the following report:
Yoshiaki Sawada, department director of the Enterprise Co. Ltd. of Japan, is now under investigation by a competent institution for his attempted drug smuggling in violation of the DPRK laws and international law. He had entered the DPRK on Oct. 14 under the pretext of trade.
The preliminary results of the investigation confirmed that he planned to bribe a north Korean into buying drugs from a third country and smuggle them into Japan on board "Mangyongbong-92" at the instruction of his "master."
This case occurred at a time when the hostile forces in Japan are calling for checking the ship's call at the Japanese port, dubbing it a "ship for illegal remittance", "ship transporting missile parts" and "spy ship" in a bid to push the DPRK-Japan relations to the worst state. Clear is the political purpose sought through the case.
He will be sternly dealt with by a relevant law when the truth of the case is proved.
