  • Koreas Begin 12th Ministerial Talks Korea-net 15 Oct 2003 -- South and North Korea on Tuesday (Oct. 14) started their 12th ministerial talks in Pyongyang to discuss pending issues including the North's nuclear programs, which are seen as the biggest security concern in the region.
  • End to Unilateralism and High-Handed Practices Called for KCNA 15 Oct 2003 -- What is important for strengthening the UN Charter and its role at present is to ensure a major role of the UN in solving international problems and a main task to do so is to put an end to unilateralism and high handed practices, said a DPRK delegate, when participating in the discussions on the agenda item "report of the special commission on strengthening the UN Charter and its role" of the sixth committee of the 58th UN General Assembly on Cot. 9.
  • U.S. Multinational Sea Inspection Exercise Flayed KCNA 15 Oct 2003 -- United States, some time ago, staged a multinational sea inspection exercise in the waters off Australia by inveigling armed forces of its satellites. It is planning to stage such military rehearsals ten times in the future. The U.S. described the rehearsal as intended to "defend the Pacific" and "prevent the spread of mass destruction weapons" in a bid to cover up its danger.
  • S. Korean Delegation Here KCNA 15 Oct 2003 -- A south Korean delegation with Minister of Unification Jong Se Hyon as its chief delegate arrived here on Oct. 14 to participate in the 12th inter-Korean ministerial talks.
