    Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today runs an editorial calling for effecting a great surge in the building of a great prosperous powerful nation with the pride in having grandly celebrated the 55th anniversary of the DPRK. The 55th anniversary of the DPRK was a grand political festival which demonstrated all over the world the indomitable spirit of Kim Il Sung's Korea which is daringly advancing, breaking through rigorous ordeals of history with the might of Songun policy, the editorial says, and notes: All the functions including a military parade, a mammoth demonstration of citizens and a torchlight procession of youth and students were proud scenes which could be unfolded only by the army and people of the DPRK who are carrying the revolutionary cause of Juche to accomplishment, upholding Kim Il Sung as the eternal President of the DPRK and displaying the might of single-hearted unity under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.
    The 55th anniversary of the DPRK was a grand festival of victors which eloquently demonstrated the invincible might of the army of the DPRK and a grand political festival that powerfully displayed to the world the true appearance of socialist Korea, in which the whole Party, the entire army and all the people are firmly united around Kim Jong Il, declares the editorial.
    The anniversary, it adds, proved that no aggressive moves, desperate economic blockade and psychological warfare of the imperialists could break the single-hearted unity of Juche Korea.
    The editorial continues:
    The DPRK is faced with the heavy yet honorable task to bravely smash the imperialist allied forces' moves to stifle the DPRK and accelerate the building of a great socialist prosperous powerful nation under the uplifted banner of Songun.
    The entire officers and men of the Korean People's Army and people should continue to maintain the surging revolutionary spirit and militant atmosphere to vigorously struggle for a new, greater victory.
    All things should be regarded, dealt with and carried out strictly from the viewpoint and stand of devotedly defending the leadership. All the people should become performers of heroic feats in the current grand march for the building of a great socialist prosperous powerful nation.
    All the Party members, servicemen and working people should have a steadfast anti-imperialist and anti-U.S. class consciousness and decisively shatter the imperialists' moves to stifle the DPRK.
