DPRK Has Bright Future

    Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- Papers here today editorially say that the reelection of Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and supreme commander of the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK, as chairman of its National Defence Commission at the First Session of the 11th Supreme People's Assembly was an expression of the unquestioned support and trust of the KPA servicemen and the people in him. They note that Kim Jong Il, with his extraordinary wisdom and tested leadership, has comprehensively developed and enriched the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and brought the Party, the state and the army associated with the whole life of Kim Il Sung to a high watermark of their development.
    Pointing out that the greatness of Kim Jong Il finds its striking manifestation in the long journey of his Songun leadership, Rodong Sinmun says:
    His unique Songun revolutionary line and mighty Songun politics saved the destiny of the country and the nation at the crossroads of life and death, made a new history of building a great prosperous powerful nation in the worst ordeals, opened up a turning phase in national reunification and remarkably enhanced the external prestige of the DPRK.
    With Kim Jong Il, who founded and has carried into practice the great Songun politics, re-elected chairman of the NDC, it has become possible to further increase the might of the Korean People's Army, a matchless strong army, put fresh muscles into the driving force of the revolution and work ceaseless miracles and exploits in socialist construction in the revolutionary soldier spirit.
    The DPRK will demonstrate its might as an impregnable fortress which no formidable enemy dare provoke as it is led by the great illustrious commander who pursues Songun politics.
    The Songun era is an era of gigantic creation and changes in which the state power is immensely strengthened as a whole to display the dignity of the country to the highest extent.
    The military force is the most important state power in the DPRK.
    In view of the essential interests of the revolution, we should set great store by national defence and put utmost efforts into it so as to consolidate the whole country into an impregnable fortress.
    Bright is the future of the DPRK government. The final victory is in store for the DPRK as it has the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il, son of guerrillas of Mt. Paektu, the invincible revolutionary armed forces and the unbreakable single-hearted unity.
    Minju Joson says that the future of the DPRK is bright and vast as it is led by Kim Jong Il.
