National Student Program Competition Held

Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- The 4th National Student Program Competition took place in Pyongyang from Aug. 25 to 28.
It drew more than 130 students of universities, colleges and middle schools who had proved successful at competitions among students of universities and colleges, provinces, cities and counties across the country.
They competed in applying the knowledge derived from the basic science subjects including computer, math. physics, intellectual subjects, diagram processing and other high-level subjects of programming.
Ri Jong Hwan of Kim Il Sung University and Kong Ryong Il of Kim Chaek University of Technology came first in the university competition, Min Chol Hyok of Tukjang College of Coal Mining and Yu Thae Gil of Pyongyang Middle School No. 1 placed first in the college and middle school contests respectively.
A closing ceremony was held at Kim Chaek University of Technology yesterday.
Commendations and prizes were awarded to successful participants at the ceremony.
