National IT Exhibition Opens

Pyongyang, August 27 (KCNA) -- A national exhibition of IT successes of the youth opened here Tuesday to mark Youth Day.
On display are more than 750 pieces of IT data including over 530 valuable programs in the forms of real things, diagrams, and so on.
Among them are the 2nd edition of the computer series "Mt. Paektu, Sacred Mountain of Revolution" extensively and profoundly showing the revolutionary history and immortal exploits of the three generals of Mt. Paektu, a program of optimal designing of the coal mine electrical system, the large scientific and technological dictionary "Kwangmyong 2003" and other programs, an automatic frequency stabilizer, a grid inspector and other equipment, apparatus, and chips.
The opening ceremony was held at the Three Revolution Exhibition.
Present there were Kim Jung Rin, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pyon Yong Rip, president of the Academy of Sciences, Kim Kyong Ho, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, and others.
