Working-level Contact for Reconnecting Inter-Korean Rail and Road Links

Kaesong, August 22 (KCNA) -- The sixth working-level contact for reconnecting the rail and road links between the north and the south of Korea was held in Kaesong from August 21 to 22.
At the contact both sides adopted an agreement on working-level contact after making sincere discussions on practical issues in order to energetically push forward the projects for reconnecting the rail and road links between the north and the south now underway amid the great expectation and concern of the whole nation, including the issue of providing all the equipment and raw materials necessary for the projects from October, the issue of giving such technical services as installing, repairing and servicing the already provided equipment and vehicles, the issue of working out designs of signals, telecommunications and power system, a basic agreement on train service and the issue of setting up offices for train and motor operation.
Both sides agreed to discuss and fix the date of the 7th working-level contact by way of exchanging documents in future.
