KSDP Calls for Ostracizing GNP and Right-wing Reactionaries

KCNA

Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Korean Social Democratic Party (KSDP) and all its members express belief that all the political parties, groupings and compatriots from all walks of life in south Korea would turn out in a just patriotic struggle to thoroughly ostracize the Grand National Party and the right-wing reactionary forces, cancer-like entities of the nation, and achieve democracy and the peace and reunification of the country in hearty response to an appeal issued in the joint name of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland and the National Reconciliation Council. A spokesman for the Central Committee of the KSDP says this in a statement issued on Aug. 15.
The statement noted that the KSDP Central Committee extended full support to the appeal, recognizing that it was an ardent call powerfully inspiring the compatriots in south Korea in the struggle to defend and broaden the phase of democracy achieved at the cost of blood.
The statement denounced the ultra right-wing fascist forces including the GNP of south Korea for perpetrating undisguised white terrorism against the pro-reunification and pro-democracy forces, rousing all the right-wingers to the campaign to restore their old position and desperately working to ditch the historic June 15 joint declaration and bring the relations between the north and the south back to those in the era of distrust and confrontation, taking advantage of the "nuclear issue" and the "remittance to the north".
The statement called upon all political parties, groupings and compatriots from all walks of life in south Korea to remain highly vigilant against the moves of the right-wing fascist forces to reverse the history, and mercilessly smash the desperate offensive of the GNP through a general counterattack of the pro-reunification patriotic forces.
