Evening Galas of Youth and Students Held

Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- Evening galas of youth and students were held in different parts of the country on Aug. 15 to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the country's liberation.
Soirees started with the song of "Long Live Generalissimo Kim Il Sung" in different places of Pyongyang, including the plazas of the Tower of the Juche Idea, the Monument to Party Founding, the Arch of Triumph, the April 25 House of Culture and the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium.
The plazas turned into seas of dances representing the ardent veneration of the army and the people for President Kim Il Sung who defeated the Japanese imperialists with his gifted military wisdom and outstanding leadership and built a strong dignified socialist country, independent, self-supporting and self-reliant in national defence.
The participants danced to the tune of the songs "Let's Sing of Our Pride in Having the General," "Thunder on Jong Il Peak," "Fortune of Korea," "Our General Is the Best," "General on a Galloping White Horse" and "We Will Hold Our General in High Esteem."
They also demonstrated their ardent enthusiasm to contribute to the prosperity of their country, their motherland true to the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il through dynamic dances to the tune of such songs as "Our Nation Is the Best," "My Country Is the Best" and "Let's Meet on Front."
Citizens from all walks of life in the capital joined the dances presented at the plazas to the tunes of such optimistic and jovial songs as "Ongheya," "Toraji," "Hulrari," "Songun Nilriri," "Arirang for Prosperity" and "Whistle," adding to the festive mood.
That day similar evening galas took place in the provincial capitals, cities and county seats including Nampho, Wonsan, Chongjin, Hamhung.
