Results of SPA Election Announced

Pyongyang, August 4 (KCNA) -- The Central Election Committee today announced a report on the returns of the election of deputies to the 11th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK which was held on Sunday.
According to the election results available, 99.9 percent of all the voters registered on the pollbooks went to the polls and 100 percent of the casters voted for candidates of deputies to the SPA registered at all the constituencies, the report says, and goes on:
This is an expression of all the voters' support and trust in the DPRK government and a manifestation of our army and people's steadfast will to consolidate the people's power as firm as a rock and accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Citizens who are staying in foreign countries or working in the far-off seas could not took part in the election.
All the voters turned out as one in the SPA election for prosperity of the country and strengthening and development of the people's power, with high honor and duty as citizens of the DPRK.
Through the election, the voters cemented the singlehearted unity of our army and people around their great leader and fully demonstrated the revolutionary stamina of Songun Korea where the headquarters of the revolution, the perfect unity and socialism represents a common destiny. They also displayed once again the unshakable desire and will to build a great prosperous powerful socialist nation in this land and accomplish the historic cause of national reunification under the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il.
Given in the report is the list of those deputies to the spa elected after examining the election returns presented by election committees of 687 constituencies across the country.
