Foreigners Visit Polling Stations

    Pyongyang, August 4 (KCNA) -- Diplomatic envoys and officials of foreign embassies here and foreign guests Sunday visited various polling stations in Pyongyang where the election of deputies to people's assemblies at all levels was under way. Sika Aho Antti, chief of the Finnish Group for the Study of Works of Comrade Kim Jong Il, said that the visit to the polling station provided an opportunity to see the true appearance of the Korean people single-heartedly united around the leader.
    Mohamed Dioue Fofana, secretary general of the African Regional Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, said that the people's government of the DPRK enjoys absolute trust and support of the popular masses, adding: It is the reality of Korea that everyone devotedly serving the people is becoming a deputy to a people's assembly at different level.
    S. Gungaadorj, chairman of the standing committee of environment and rural development of the state great hural of Mongolia, said that all the electors voted for the candidates, a clear indication of the high political enthusiasm of the Korean people.
    Ahmed Amer al Muakkaf, secretary of the people's bureau of the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya here, said that his visit to the polling station offered him a chance to see firsthand how fully popular democracy is guaranteed in the DPRK.
    Gan Hua, son of the former vice-chairman of the China-Korea Friendship Association, said that his visit to the polling station helped him know well that the government of the dprk is a genuine popular government guaranteeing the working masses genuine freedom and rights.
    Genaro Ledesma Izquieta, chairman of the People's Front of Workers,Peasants and Students of Peru, said that he saw every korean pleased and proud of electing people's deputies, noting that he could confirm that the west's propaganda about the DPRK's "human rights issue" is a sheer lie.
    Through the elections the korean people have strikingly demonstrated the might of their single-hearted unity around leader Kim Jong Il, he stressed.
