Wreaths laid before statues and grave of Kim Hyong Jik

    Pyongyang, July 10 (KCNA) -- Senior officials of the party and the state, servicepersons of the Korean People's Army, people from all walks of life and school youth and children today laid wreaths before the statue of Kim Hyong Jik, an indomitable revolutionary fighter and an outstanding leader of the anti-Japanese national liberation movement in Korea, in Ponghwa-ri and his grave in Mangyongdae on the occasion of his 109th birth anniversary. Wreaths from leader Kim Jong Il were seen standing before the statue and grave.
    Present at the wreath-laying ceremonies were Han Song Ryong, Kye Ung Thae, Kim Chol Man, Yang Hyong Sop and other officials of party and power bodies, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons of the KPA, working people and school youth and children in Pyongyang.
    Wreaths in the name of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly and the DPRK cabinet were placed before his statue and grave. Also placed there were wreaths in the name of the ministries, national institutions, military academies, educational institutions and party and power bodies, industrial establishments and farms and schools in the city, bunches of flowers and flowers.
    On the same day, wreaths, bouquets and flowers were laid before his statues at Kim Hyong Jik Military Medical University, in Junggang county, Jagang Province and Sakju county, North Phyongan Province.
