Drop of "theory of principal enemy" urged

    Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- The South Korean military authorities' advocacy of the "theory of principal enemy" is aimed to direct the people's hatred against the U.S. imperialists to the fellow countrymen in the north. They should immediately drop this theory, pondering over the consequences to be entailed by its advocacy.
    Minju Joson today says this in a signed commentary.
    It goes on:
    The South Korean military authorities in teaching materials titled "moral education" distributed among frontline units called the government, the army and the citizens in the north "principal enemies".
    They called their fellow countrymen the "principal enemy" and openly declared confrontation at a time when all Koreans are out in a nationwide struggle for reconciliation and unity, peace and reunification in the idea of "by our nation itself" under the banner of the June 15 Joint Declaration.
    This is an unpardonable challenge to the desire of the fellow countrymen.
    Their advocacy of this theory is intended to serve the purpose of the strategy of the U.S. imperialists to replace the confrontation between the entire Korean nation and the U.S. on the Korean peninsula by that between the two parts of Korea.
    Their vociferation about this theory clearly indicates that they are acting a servant pulling the nuclear war chariot of the U.S. imperialists.
