Staunch anti-U.S. struggle called for

KCNA

    Pyongyang, June 21 (KCNA) -- The only way for the South Koreans to terminate their misfortune and sufferings, live in peace and achieve national prosperity is to put an end to the U.S. imperialists' policy of military presence in South Korea, says Rodong Sinmun today in a signed article. The history of the U.S. imperialists' occupation of South Korea for 58 years is a history of their mass killings and fascist suppression of South Koreans and anti-reunification moves, the article says, and goes on:
    The U.S. imperialists' South Korea policy is a gangster-like policy aimed to meet their selfish aim of aggression at the sacrifice of the Korean nation.
    The Bush administration's Korea policy, in particular, is characterized by a dangerous and high-handed nature as it does not to hesitate to exterminate the whole Korean nation.
    The U.S. imperialists are now bringing the clouds of a nuclear war to hang over Korea while bringing the situation on the Korean Peninsula to an extreme pitch of tension under the pretext of its "nuclear issue".
    The U.S. killed thousands of civilians by invading Iraq, a sovereign state. It is quite clear that in case the U.S. provokes a war on the Korean Peninsula it would bring tremendous massacre and destruction to the peninsula.
    The Korean nation can never tolerate this but should show the mettle of the dignified nation to the aggressors and murderers.
    We should further intensify the anti-U.S. and anti-war struggle to prevent the recurrence of the disastrous incident in which our dear children and beloved neighbors were killed by the U.S. imperialist troops.
