Japan's reckless action against DPRK ship under fire
KCNA
Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- The Japanese reactionaries' action to bar the port call of the DPRK ship "Mangyongbong-92" is an intolerable challenge to the sovereignty and the dignity of the DPRK and a criminal move to bedevil the DPRK-Japan relations contrary to the common desire and interests of the peoples of the DPRK and Japan, says Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary.
It goes on:
A terror-ridden atmosphere created recently by the Japanese reactionaries against the ship's port call in an organized and conspiratorial manner is little short of declaring Japan's intention to cut off its relations with the DPRK.
The gravity of this development lies in that their action was timed to coincide with the U.S. imperialists' ever-more undisguised moves to stifle the DPRK with nukes.
This is a product of the hysteria of those who are steeped in the idea of toeing the U.S. line and hostility towards the DPRK to the marrows of their bones.
During his recent visit to the U.S. the Japanese chief executive agreed with the U.S. President to take "hard-line measures" against North Korea over its "nuclear issue." The measures included "economic sanctions", "sea blockade" and "military options." It is the aim of the Japanese reactionaries to incite anti-DPRK feelings among the Japanese and round off their preparations for reinvasion, taking advantage of the U.S. imperialists' moves for "economic sanctions," "sea blockade" and "preemptive attack" over the DPRK's "nuclear issue."
The recent racket kicked up by Japan over "mangyongbong-92" according to this scenario is aimed to aggravate confrontation between the DPRK and Japan and lay a springboard for reinvasion.
If Japan escalates "sanctions" and "pressure" upon the DPRK, persisting in its racket over the ship despite Pyongyang's warnings, it will create an unpredictable grave situation which will entail catastrophic consequences.
