U.S. "arms buildup plan" rebuffed
KCNA
Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- Lately, commander of the U.S. forces in South Korea Laporte clarified the "arms buildup plan" of the U.S. forces when meeting with the "Minister of National Defence" of South Korea.
Minju Joson today in a signed commentary says that the U.S. "arms buildup plan" is an adventurous plan to enhance the maneuverability and the fire power of the U.S. forces present in South Korea and increase their capability to carry out operations and a dangerous war scenario to round off their thorough preparations for a preemptive attack on the DPRK.
The U.S. imperialists have already worked out a scenario for a preemptive attack in a bid to implement their war strategy against the DPRK according to which they have deployed huge task operational forces including high precision guided weapons, a flotilla of carriers and latest flying corps in and around South Korea, the commentary says, and continues:
A rapid deployment brigade of the U.S. forces equipped with sophisticated technical equipment to be additionally deployed in South Korea is an elite force tasked to mount a surprise attack on the DPRK.
The deployment of this force in South Korea would mean a completion of the U.S. imperialists' preparations for a war of aggression against the DPRK and this would increase the danger of a war in the DPRK.
With nothing can the U.S. cover up the dangerous nature of its "arms buildup plan" or justify it.
Stockpiling huge reserve materials for a war including ammunition and reinforcing troops are what the imperialists usually have done before launching a war.
The U.S. imperialists' arms buildup goes against the trend of the times towards peace, disarmament, reconciliation and cooperation.
The DPRK maintains a full combat readiness to cope with the U.S. imperialists' moves of aggression. It will strongly retaliate against them should they ignite a new war.
