- NORKOR/NUCLEAR VOA 18 Apr 2003 -- North Korea said Friday it is successfully reprocessing thousands of spent fuel rods at its main nuclear plant. The news, reported by the official Korean Central News Agency, comes only days before planned international talks on North Korea's nuclear moves.
- U-S / NORTH KOREA VOA 18 Apr 2003 -- U-S officials say plans are going ahead for three-way U-S-North Korean-Chinese talks in Beijing on North Korea's nuclear program next week. The plans are moving forward despite a claim from Pyongyang Friday that it is reprocessing spent fuel rods at its reopened nuclear reactor complex.

- End to U.S. abuse of UN name called for KCNA 18 Apr 2003 -- A DPRK delegate in a speech at a meeting of the special commission on the UN Charter and the increasing of its role, accused the united states of still wearing the mask of the UN on the Korean Peninsula.
