On June 26, the Korean Central Broadcasting Station propagandized that "The invincible
People's military repelled the schemes of the imperialists and laid a foundation for a powerful
and prosperous nation. With a strong military, a nation can achieve anything, and win any
war." On June 28, the Rodong Shinmun stressed, "If the rifles are rusty, we will lose the state
and become a slave of imperialism; if the rifles are strong, we can defend the nation and lead
autonomous lives." |

In its June 26 issue, the Rodong Sinmun argued, "We cannot accept any of the U.S.
negotiation agenda items, including discussion of nuclear capability, missiles and
conventional force reduction. The most important issue in DPRK-US negotiations is to
compensate for electricity losses arising from the delays in LWR construction." |

with Turkey in the June 15 issue of the Rodong Sinmun. |

On June 29, the Korean Central Broadcasting Station blasted the South Korean Navy for
planning "a large-scale maritime mobility training exercise from June 26 to 28 under the
direction of the First Fleet Command on the pretext of defending the country from possible
maritime attacks." |
