Through a June 6 report in the party newspaper Rodong Sinmun, North Korea argued, "Japan's attempts to eliminate the pacifist constitution and tamper with constitutional clauses renouncing war, along with the visit by government figures to the Yaskuni Shrine expose its ambition to revive militarism and for re-invasion."
