North Korea's Central Broadcasting, on March 13, broadcast in its usual fiery manner calling on North Koreans to `bolster their revolutionary camaraderie' in order the `crush utterly sinister attempts at disrupting unity in our ranks by imperialist forces and enemies of the working class'.

Three days later on march 16, Central Broadcasting reported on announcements made by the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly calling for a convention of delegates in Pyongyang on April 5th for the Fourth Plenary Session of the Tenth Supreme People's Assembly.

North Korea declared that the country will not be compelled to be bound by the terms and proposals made to the US concerning its missiles, in light of reconsideration of the North Korea policies of previous administration by the current administration, through a statement broadcast by Central Broadcasting, also threatening `merciless devastation by the KPA and the North Korean people united as a national bomb' any US aggression towards North Korea.

North Korean railways minister Kim Yong-sam signed with the Russian transportation minister Akshonenko on March 17th.

Pyongyang Broadcasting claimed that 'powerful voices against America' emanating from all sectors of South Korean society were 'a defiant rejection of American aggression and imperialism', and that the US 'would be wise to heed the sentiments against and leave Korea in due haste'.

Central Broadcasting announced on March 14th the departure of South Korean minister of culture and tourism Kim Han-kil, and also reported that deputy commissioner of the North Korean Athletics Guidance Commission Chang Ung, secretary of the (North) Korean Committee for Peace in the Asia-Pacific Kang Jung-hoon, and official were present to send minister Kim off at the airport.
