The North Korean government hosted `The Second Chollima Pioneer's Assembly' at the April
25th Cultural Palace on Nov. 3rd and 4th with Speaker of the Supreme People's Assembly Kim
Yong-nam and other ranking members of the party and government in attendance, along with
6000 `model workers' selected from their respective fields, and presented their calls for the
mobilization of the populace. |

Mongolian Premier Ranchinyawin Amarjalgal arrived in Pyongyang on the fourth for a state
visit and met with Speaker of the Supreme People's Assembly Kim Yong-nam and Prime
Minister Hong Sung-nam. In addition, North Korea signed the Treaty for Cooperation in Public
Health and Medical Sciences with China on Nov. 5th. |

The National Front and the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland
reiterated in a joint statement their calls for the cessation of joint ROK-US military exercises
and abolition of the National Security Law, repeating the statement issued last Feb. 03 as
preconditions to high-level talks between the two Koreas. |

The Association for the Unification of the Tangun-Nation blasted opposition by a few
organizations in the south to Tangun, the ancestor of the Korean nation, as `traitorous acts of
crime in denial of our heritage.' |
