A spokesperson for the North Korean foreign ministry blasted US plans for a Theater Missile Defense in Northeast Asia 'as an attempt to check the powers of East Asia and establish hegemony over the world'. In addition, the spokesperson called indignation over the North's missile programs as 'meddling' in its internal policy and 'invasion' of national sovereignty.
