Kim Jong-il visited KPA Unit No. 615 with Political Bureau Chief Cho Myong-rok, party secretary Kim Kuk-tae, and other party and military officials. He also visited land reclamation sites in Chorwon, Pyonggang, Kosan, and other areas in Kangwon province.

The Agricultural Workers League, The Women's League, and other organizations are organizing 'loyalty assemblies' and film exhibitions, granting academic degrees, and marching to Mt. Paektu as preparatory celebrations for Kim Jong-il's 57th birthday (Feb. 16th).

North Korea recently published a propaganda memoir to mark the first year of ROK's Government of the People, and accused the ROK gov't of "catering to foreign powers and national treason". They also labeled ROK 'unwilling to pursue serious dialogue' in response to the south's call for dialogue 'without conditions', and insisted on abolition of the National Security Law and other conditions put forward as prerequisites to InterKorean dialogue.
