(Will visit Seoul, Tokyo, and Beijing December 6-10) (200) Washington -- Dr. William Perry, U.S. North Korea Policy Coordinator and Special Advisor to the President and the Secretary of State, will travel to Seoul, Tokyo, and Beijing December 6-10, according to a statement by State Department Spokesman James Rubin. RUBIN NORTH KOREA POLICY COORDINATOR WILLIAM PERRY TO TRAVEL TO REGION Dr. William Perry, U.S. North Korea Policy Coordinator and Special Advisor to the President and the Secretary of State, will travel to Seoul, Tokyo, and Beijing December 6-10. Dr. Perry will be accompanied by Ambassador Wendy Sherman, Counselor of the State Department; Dr. Ashton Carter, advisor to Dr. Perry and several other support staff. Dr. Perry intends to obtain, first-hand, views of the South Korean, Japanese, and Chinese governments and informed individuals as he conducts his review of U.S. policy on North Korea. (end text)
