The probe into Liu was concluded by the National Commission of Supervision and transferred to the procuratorate for review and prosecution. Upon designation of jurisdiction by the SPP, the Henan provincial people's procuratorate approved Liu's arrest on suspicion of bribery in accordance with the law.
The People's Procuratorate of Nanyang City in Henan has recently filed a prosecution against Liu with the Nanyang Intermediate People's Court.

During the review and prosecution stage, the procuratorate informed Liu of his legal rights, questioned him in accordance with the law and heard the opinions from the defense counsel.
According to the indictment filed by the procuratorate, Liu took advantage of his positions, including his role as a Party member and deputy general manager of CSGC, as well as other positions at Dongfeng Motor Corp and Changan Automobile Co to seek benefits for relevant entities and individuals through the official acts of other state personnel, illegally accepting bribes in an exceptionally large amount, CCTV reported.
He shall be held criminally liable for the crime of bribery in accordance with the law, according to the CCTV report.
