In continuation of the dialogue and cooperation between the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, the two sides held a new round of political consultations on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
The General Secretariat's delegation was headed by the Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Mr. Yousef Al-Dobaey, while the Chinese side was headed by Mr. Chen Weiqing, Director-General of the Department of West Asian and North African Affairs at the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The discussions focused on ways to enhance constructive dialogue and cooperation between the two sides in various fields. The two sides also discussed a number of issues of common interest, most notably the Palestinian issue and the situation in Afghanistan. They also discussed the situation of Muslim groups and communities in non-Member States, promoting dialogue among civilizations, and combating Islamophobia.
