PLA Hong Kong Garrison completes its 28th routine troops rotation

BEIJING, Aug. 25 -- In line with the Law of the People1s Republic of China (PRC) on Garrisoning the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the orders from China's Central Military Commission (CMC), the Chinese People1s Liberation Army (PLA) Hong Kong Garrison successfully completed its 28th troops rotation on the evening of August 22, 2025.
The incoming troops said that they will resolutely uphold the policy of "one country, two systems", strictly implement the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People1s Republic of China and the Hong Kong Garrison Law, and continue to improve their capabilities in fulfilling the missions. They will make more contributions to safeguarding national security, maintaining enduring prosperity and stability of Hong Kong, and promoting the sustainable implementation of the policy of "one country, two systems" in Hong Kong.
The troops rotation received strong support from the HKASR government and all sectors of society. The Chinese PLA Hong Kong Garrison expressed their sincere gratitude for that.
