China's position on opposing malicious blockade against China consistent: Chinese FM on US export controls on HBM chips

Asked to comment on a report saying that Chinese officials have told experts in Washington that China wants the US to ease export controls on high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips, a critical component for artificial intelligence chips, as part of a trade deal, Lin Jian, a spokesperson form the Chinese Foreign Ministry, on Monday referred the question to competent authorities for the specifics.
"China's position on opposing the politicization and weaponization of tech and trade issues, and on malicious blockade and suppression against China, is consistent and clear. Such practices disrupt the stability of global industrial and supply chains and are in no one's interests," Lin said.
