FM responds to whether China-EU leaders discuss rare earth exports issue

In response to a media inquiry regarding the EU's concerns about China's restrictions on the export of rare earth metals and magnets, and whether China-EU leaders discussed the issue today, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated on Thursday that China's policies are in line with international practices. He added that China is willing to strengthen dialogue and cooperation on export controls with relevant countries and regions to jointly safeguard the stability and security of global production and supply chains.
