Commenting on a recent report which shows that the first half of 2025 has seen the highest BRI engagement and surpassing that of all 2024, and opinions that the cooperation China pursues with Belt and Road (BRI) partner countries stands in stark contrast to the US' imposing of tariffs on its trading partners, Chinese FM spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Tuesday that China stands ready to work with all parties to advance high-quality BRI cooperation, jointly promoting development and securing a shared win-win future.

Guo said the BRI cooperation has entered a new stage of high-quality development. Stretching from the Eurasian continent to Africa and Latin America, and extending from "hard connectivity" of infrastructure to "soft connectivity" of rules and standards and "heart-to-heart connectivity" among the peoples, BRI achievements have benefited people in more than 150 countries and regions.

The Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway has carried over 10 million passengers, China-Europe freight trains have made more than 110,000 runs, the new "Chancay-Shanghai" land-sea corridor linking China and Latin America is now open in both directions, and solar power stations built by Chinese companies in Africa have a combined installed capacity exceeding 1.5 gigawatt, Guo said, noting that small yet impactful projects such as Luban Workshops and Juncao technology have helped countless households find a path to prosperity.

After more than a decade of development, the BRI has evolved beyond connectivity to become a platform for trade and industrial cooperation, helping more countries integrate into global value chains and jointly safeguarding a resilient and stable global supply network, said Guo.
