When asked to comment on recent reports that certain companies had received notifications from the US Department of Commerce allowing the resumption of exports to China-including EDA software, ethane, and aircraft engines-a spokesperson for China's Ministry of Commerce said on Friday that both sides are working intensively to implement the outcomes of the London Framework.

China is reviewing export license applications for controlled items in accordance with its laws and regulations, while the US has taken corresponding steps to lift a series of restrictive measures against China, as communicated to the Chinese side, the spokesperson noted.

"The London Framework was hard-won. Dialogue and cooperation are the right path forward; coercion and intimidation lead nowhere," the spokesperson noted.

"We urge the US to fully recognize the mutually beneficial nature of China-US economic and trade relations, continue moving in the same direction as China, further correct its misguided practices, and take concrete actions to uphold and implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, so as to jointly ensure the steady and long-term growth of bilateral economic and trade ties," the spokesperson added.
