"Regarding the specific question you mentioned, I currently do not have any information to provide," Mao said.
Kyodo News reported on Sunday that China is planning to invite Trump to a military parade scheduled for September 3 in Beijing's Tian'anmen Square to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, citing sources familiar with the matter.
Last week, China's State Council Information Office held a press conference on plans for marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, China will host a year-long series of events, including a grand gathering and military parade, under the theme "Remember History, Honor the Martyrs, Cherish Peace, and Create the Future."
