China's Minister of Public Security meets US ambassador to China

China is willing to carry out pragmatic cooperation with the US in law enforcement fields such as counter-narcotics and illegal immigration repatriation, striving to achieve outcomes beneficial to the well-being of both peoples, Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong said, when meeting with US Ambassador to China David Perdue in Beijing on Thursday, the Xinhua News Agency reported.

During the meeting, Wang said China is willing to work with the US to implement the important consensus reached between the two heads of state, based on the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, to carry out pragmatic cooperation with the US in law enforcement fields such as counter-narcotics and illegal immigration repatriation, striving to achieve outcomes beneficial to the well-being of both peoples.

He hoped the US would work in the same direction with China, uphold an equal attitude, respect each other's concerns, and inject positive energy into the development of bilateral relations.

For his part, Ambassador Perdue expressed his willingness to be a communicator and facilitator for bilateral ties, promoting exchanges and cooperation in areas like counter-narcotics law enforcement.
