
China's export control measures align with intl practices: Chinese FM on report claiming Suzuki halts compact cars output due to China's rare earth curbs

Commenting on a report claiming that due to China's export controls on rare earths, Japanese automaker Suzuki has suspended production of its main compact cars in Japan, as delays in procuring parts have also arisen, Lin Jian, spokesperson of China's Foreign Ministry, said on Thursday that the export control measures introduced by China align with international practices, which are non-discriminatory, and do not target any specific countries.
Regarding the specific issue mentioned, we suggest consulting the relevant Chinese authorities, Lin noted.
